QATM DCM 1000 Hardness Tester for Direct CHD and Surface Hardness Testing
QATM DCM 1000 is a specialized hardness tester for the direct determination of case hardening depth, or CHD, and for surface hardness testing of metal specimens. The direct measurement method eliminates the need for time-consuming preparation of polished cross-section specimens and significantly accelerates specimen inspection.
The case hardening depth can be determined within one minute. This efficient technology enables one hundred percent batch testing and provides a rapid, non-destructive indication of whether a specimen has an inhomogeneous hardness distribution within its surface zone.
In addition to direct CHD measurement, the QATM DCM 1000 supports all Rockwell hardness testing methods in accordance with DIN EN ISO and ASTM standards. Case hardening depth results are evaluated using dedicated software based on the principle of former Briro E systems.
